Neighborhood Summit Gathers Organizers from across the Towns

Leaders of neighborhood associations and block groups–and those who would like to organize neighborhood groups–gathered to share history, best practices, issues of concern, and to get to know one another. Chair if the Coalition’s Residential Committee started the evening off individual introductions and then gave a presentation on the how-to’s of building neighborhood groups, and the value they add to the towns. She also discussed community demographics, community policing, development issues, and affordable housing. Coalition Program Director Audrey Rowe shared the details of the organization’s Home Maintenance Loan Program, a low-interest loan to support people who need to make necessary exterior repairs but who may lack the funds.
