SOCO Beloved Community Awards

Join the South Orange Civic Association on Sunday,  January 13th, 3 pm at the South Orange Middle School Auditorium (70 N. Ridgewood Road, South Orange, NJ) for its 43rd annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Each year, the Civic Association presents it ‘Beloved Community’ awards to residents who have volunteered in our towns in ways that manifest the legacy of Dr. King.  This year the awards will be presented to Ulysses Dietz and Lee May Boswell.  The guest speaker is Nancy Gagnier, Executive Director of the Community Coalition on Race.  She will be speaking on the future of racial integration.  This event is free and all are welcome!
