The Community Coalition on Race is celebrating 15 years! Every year during Coalition Month our volunteer committees and the trustees report on their progress toward integration and inclusion in our towns. We would like to hear from you about how the Coalition can best move forward to build a community in which people of different races and ethnicities live together, interact, form friendships, and participate fully in all aspects of community life. We invite you to be a part of a diverse group of community members, business people and community leaders and to participate in our Report to the Community: Integration Then & Now, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 7:30 PM at the Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St., Maplewood, NJ.
Following a talk on integration in SOMA and brief presentations by Coalition committee members about their accomplishments for the past year and plans for the coming year, you will be invited to take part in a group discussion to offer recommendations for the Coalition’s work going forward. We look forward to lively discussion on how the Community Coalition on Race can best benefit our community.
